What is the weather like at Hope Valley?
As a mountain resort situated at 7000ft elevation our temperatures will always be cooler than that of the Tahoe Basin and surrounding valley. On average we will have snow on the ground from November till April. Nightly temperatures remain below freezing from October to May.

What are the Operating Hours?
Sorensen‘s Café is open daily for lunch & dinner from 12pm to 8pm. Après Ski is from 3pm to 5pm Monday through Thursday. A continental breakfast is provided for in house guests Monday through Friday. A la Carte breakfast is served Saturday & Sunday from 8am to 12pm.
We also provide in house guests with Cabin Delivery Service for all meal periods.
Reservations for lunch & dinner are strongly recommended.
What is Check In/Check Out Times?
Check in starts from 4pm and Check out is at 11am. Should you require an earlier check in or a later check out, kindly speak to the guest service team who will submit the request and we will try our best to honor, fees might apply to guarantee set times.
Am I guaranteed a specific cabin or yurt?
Unless you book a one-of-a-kind Cabin i.e., Hope Valley House or O.G Yurt. For all other cabins the team will submit your request and try their utmost to honor
What amenities are in the Cabins?
All Cabins have Fireplaces, only two have original woodburning
Some Cozy Cabins have kitchenette’s
Comfy Cabins and larger have full kitchen with French Press & Le Creuset Kettle’s
Is this Sorensen’s Resort?
This is the old Sorensen’s Resort that was purchased by Wylder Hotels in August 2019. Our Café is still called Sorensen’s & by the campground is Hope Valley General Store and Café all of which is owned and operated by Wylder Hotels.
The property has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation
We are an all-season resort, all cabins, the spartan & some yurts remain open year around.
Campground open May – October depending on the weather
Is the hotel Pet Friendly?
Yes! We are dog friendly property-wide; your dog must be leased while in public spaces and remember to clean up after you pet.
We charge a nightly pet fee of $55 for all Cabins, Yurts, and Spartan which includes a welcome amenity, food, and water bowls that will be placed in the room to use.
While it’s $25 per pet per night for all RV’s & Campsites.

Hope Valley is an outdoor paradise full of adventure all depending on the season

Do you sell Snow park passes/ USFS parking passes / Fishing permits?
We don’t currently sell them on property.
