Hope Valley is a magical mountain valley in Alpine County, California, located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada just south of Lake Tahoe, Ca. Sitting at an elevation of 7,000 feet and framed by peaks reaching over 10,000 feet high, Hope Valley is known for its wide vistas, fall colors, snowy winters, and endless outdoor recreation. 

Wylder Hope Valley is located just 20 miles south of Lake Tahoe. During the summer months families and guest of all ages can enjoy all the high Sierra has to offer. From the property enjoy the likes of hiking, biking, fishing, swimming, stand-up-paddleboarding, wildflowers and stargazing. When the snow falls the valley turns into a winter wonderland. Cross country skiing, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, moonlight tours, and ice fishing for the adventurous. 

Outside the property within a short scenic drive, you have everything from outdoor recreating to night life. Lake Tahoe lies at 6,225 feet and straddles the California/Nevada state line. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America, and at 122,160,280 acreft it trails only the five Great Lakes as the largest by volume in the United States. Its depth is 1,645 ft, making it the second deepest in the United States after Crater Lake in Oregon. Going up, at almost 11,000 feet, Freel Peak reaches the sky at 10,861 feet. 

Whether taking in the views of Emerald Bay, renting a power boat at Ski Run Marina, hitting the slopes at 1 of over a dozen ski resorts there’s something for everyone. For the night owl, South Lake Tahoe is home to restaurants, bars, dance clubs, even Casinos.
