Welcoming Guests
Since 1898

At Wylder, our goal is to be an adventurous home away from home, a place where our guests can reconnect with nature and one another. Our bayside retreat is located on a small 3-mile island on the Chesapeake Bay. This small watermen’s town just may be the perfect retreat for your family. Our resort features 9.5 acres and only 50 hotel rooms primarily with outdoor access and no public elevators or open lobbies. We will be offering touchless check-in, remote room requests. There is an ample amount of outdoor space where you can have a waterfront picnic on the lawn or one of our many picnic tables while maintaining plenty of distance and limited exposure to other guests and staff. Tickler’s Restaurant is open for Carry-out with the freshest locally sourced seafood and cocktails. So come on down to Wylder and hang by the fire pit or take out a kayak then enjoy a waterfront picnic full of Maryland crabs.

Please note that Wylder Tilghman Island is a non-smoking property.

THE ISLAND

A short drive from Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia, Tilghman Island is a relaxed, yet exciting Eastern Shore escape. Drive through St. Michael’s, past the farmland, corn stalks and pumpkin patches, and over the drawbridge across Knapp’s Narrow, and you’ll be on our 3-mile stretch of salty paradise. From charter fishing, to sailing and kayaking, Tilghman Island life is built around the Chesapeake Bay and its bounty of pleasures. Crack your blue crab in the glow of our super-sized sunset, wash it down with a cold one and give yourself a high five from us here at Tilghman Island.
